The Child Firearms Safety & Fundamentals (CFSF) Series is designed to replace natural curiosity with a safety-first mindset, age-appropriate understanding, and a healthy respect for responsible firearm ownership—all conducted in a controlled outdoor range environment.

This class is for the “maybe later people” or the ones that want a more slowed-down one-on-one personal experience with one of our Range Safety Officers, if that’s you…… this class is for you.

Starting with the basics, plastic pistols, to focus on grip and stance and trigger control, get sight alignment and picture down, and understand the fundamentals of how the firearm works!

Cost: $75 (does not include ammo)

This 2-hour, instructor-led class is built for new rifle owners who want confidence and usable skills fast. We cover safe handling and rifle operation, bore-sighting and dialing in your scope to achieve a reliable zero, plus core fundamentals (stance, cheek weld, sight alignment, trigger control) and simple troubleshooting/maintenance. Bring your rifle (unloaded), scope, and at least one box of ammo if you want live-fire zeroing — otherwise we’ll focus on optics setup and fundamentals.

This Advanced Pistol course picks up exactly where our Pistol I class leaves off, building on solid fundamentals and taking shooters into dynamic, real-world pistol applications.

We begin on the range and stay there. After a concise safety and equipment check, shooters immediately transition into live-fire drills that emphasize efficiency, confidence, and decision-making under pressure.

This class focuses heavily on:

• Drawing from the holster
   
• Trigger control while moving
   
• Immediate and remedial malfunction management
   
• Support-hand shooting
   
• Lateral movement and stepping off the line
   
• Shooting from behind cover and barricades
   
• Threat identification and failure drills
   

Students will work through structured evolutions that intentionally induce malfunctions, require movement, and demand accountability for every trigger press. Drills are instructor-directed, safety-driven, and fast-paced.

Because of the intermediate to advanced nature of this course, shooters should be comfortable drawing from a holster, following range commands, and maintaining strict muzzle discipline while moving. Pistol I (or equivalent experience) is strongly recommended, as this class assumes familiarity with our teaching style, range cadence, and safety expectations.

This course is also an excellent way to:

• Bridge the gap between fundamentals and movement
   
• Get acclimated to shooting on the move
   
• Refine holster work and trigger control
   
• Prepare for competition or defensive-style shooting
